2026 TJC Bond
On Saturday, May 2, voters will have the opportunity to vote on a $167,328,269 bond initiative. The TJC bond initiative consists of three primary projects, which are outlined below.
Workforce & Academic Building
Filling the Talent Pipeline
This facility will house TJC's programs in fields such as engineering, business, criminal justice, and information technology. The Workforce & Academic Building will feature advanced classrooms, simulation labs, and collaborative learning spaces. It also serves to complement existing partnerships with the University of Texas at Tyler and area school districts.
1 in every 27 local jobs is connected to TJC and 75% of our alumni remain in the region, generating $454 million each year in ongoing economic activity.

Student Success Center
Centralized Student Resources
The TJC Student Success Center will consolidate multiple student service offices, including admissions, financial aid, disability services, and academic advising, into a single building. The consolidation of services is designed to centralize operations and streamline administrative processes. This facility, sometimes referred to as a “one-stop shop,” is expected to allow other campus spaces to be used across the Central Campus.
By consolidating services into one facility, TJC will:
• Reduce student wait times
• Streamline communication
• Optimize space utilization throughout the institution

Student Safety & IT Center
Consolidated Digital & Physical Security
This facility will house the College’s Data Center and the TJC Police Department headquarters. The new Student Safety & IT Center is designed to support instruction, operations, and cybersecurity, providing infrastructure for digital learning and administrative systems. The TJC Police Department headquarters is planned to support campus safety, emergency response, and coordination across district sites. By locating these functions in the same facility, the College brings together its digital and physical security operations for the 20,000+ students and employees who learn and work at TJC.
