A Century of Impact

Since opening its doors with just 93 students, TJC has grown to serve nearly 20,000 learners annually, including more than 16,000 credit students and almost 4,000 continuing studies participants. With over 135 degree and certificate programs, including multiple baccalaureate pathways, TJC is the cornerstone of higher education in East Texas.

TJC’s mission is rooted in equity and access. Through dual credit programs, the TJC Promise, and innovative workforce initiatives such as TJC Works, we open doors for high school students, adult learners, and working professionals alike. The bond initiative is part of the college’s broader planning efforts as it looks toward the next century of service.
